Synth-Pop Masters Nuovo Testamento To Embark On Europe Tour This November
The American-Italian trio will be performing 18 live shows in major European cities this fall.
Prepare to be transported back to the glory days of the 1980s as synth-pop masters Nuovo Testamento have announced their Europe Tour, starting in November 2023. After supporting the enigmatic Molchat Doma earlier this year, the band is currently on the road as part of their Love Lines Tour throughout North America.
Hailing from Los Angeles and Bologna, the dynamic trio consisting of Chelsey Crowley on vocals, Giacomo Zatti handling programming and electronic drums, and Andrea Mantione on synthesizers, is setting the dance floor ablaze with their distinctive blend of dark Italo disco-infused pop anthems.
Their musical journey began with the release of the coldwave cult favourite, Exposure EP, in 2019 on Avant! Records. However, it was their subsequent full-length LP, New Earth, that truly catapulted them into the spotlight. The record exquisitely incorporated 1980s-inspired club elements, infectious rhythms, and the irresistible allure of synth-pop, earning widespread acclaim across various musical genres and cementing its status as one of the underground’s standout albums of 2021.
With their latest LP, Love Lines, they truly solidified their status as synth-pop maestros. The album has a shimmer that harks back to the 1980s, a time when subcultural devotees reveled in the pleasures of synth-driven melodies and catchy hooks. Tracks like “Wildlife,” “Heartbeat,” “Heat,” “Perfect Storm,” and “Get Closer” transport listeners to a dancefloor filled with neon lights and euphoric energy.
Nuovo Testamento’s Euro Tour is scheduled to kick off in Bologna (IT) on November 8 and will include stops in major European cities such as London (UK), Amsterdam (NL), Paris (FR), and many more. All dates and venues are listed below.
